Refreshing Orange Pineapple Juice Recipe

Two oranges, a pineapple, fresh ginger, and a squeeze of lemon — this four-ingredient juice is the simplest thing you can do to start your day feeling alive. Sweet, tart, spicy, and just a little citrusy. It makes two generous glasses, which means you can share it — or, honestly, drink both yourself.

What you'll need (makes 2 servings)

  • 2 oranges

  • 1 pineapple

  • 1–2 inches fresh ginger

  • ¼ lemon

Why these four ingredients work so well together:

Oranges and pineapple share a natural sweetness, but their acidic profiles are different enough that they don't taste flat together — the citrus brightness of orange contrasts nicely with pineapple's tropical depth. Fresh ginger is the secret weapon: it cuts through all that sweetness with warmth and a little heat that lingers on the back of your throat in the best way.

The quarter lemon is there for acidity and a slightly grassy top note that lifts the whole glass. Don't skip it.

The benefits:

Oranges are a classic source of vitamin C, which supports immunity and skin health. Pineapple contains bromelain, a natural enzyme with anti-inflammatory properties that also aids digestion. Ginger has been used for centuries to ease nausea and inflammation. Add the optional turmeric and black pepper, and you've got a juice that punches well above its weight nutritionally.

How to make it:

Peel the oranges and pineapple. Slice the ginger — no need to peel it if your juicer can handle the skin, but peel it if you prefer a milder flavour. Run everything through a juicer: pineapple chunks, oranges, ginger, and the lemon wedge. If you're using a blender instead, blend with a splash of water and strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag.

Serve immediately over ice for maximum freshness. If you're making it ahead, store in an airtight jar in the fridge and drink within 48 hours — fresh juice loses its nutritional punch quickly.
